0 5/5 Brian Maxwell - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Everlast PowerPro 256 250a TIG Stick Pulse 60a Plasma Cutter Multi Process Welder (Tools & Home Improvement) I've heard lots of negativity about this welder and was worried about issues. Well I couldn't be happier with it, weld everything wit ease and the arc is the main st stable I've ever seen it will light up at even 2 amps. Packing was great and they upgraded me to a 256s which has more options and a smaller torch. Have cut 3\4 " plate like butoter. So all in all Dont be scared of this machine welds as good a 4000$ miller but you also can cut metal. Good luck 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , January 31, 2014

Great TIG Plasma Cutter combo welder

0 5/5 Frugality - See all my reviews This review is from: Everlast PowerPro 256 250a TIG Stick Pulse 60a Plasma Cutter Multi Process Welder (Tools & Home Improvement) This is a good welder cutter for people like me who want a portable all-in-one to take on the road and not take a lot of space in the truck or in the garage. It is both AC and DC so it can weld aluminum and stainless steel which I needed. The plasma cutter is powerful too. The tig welder has all of the features I wanted like pulse and postflow and has great power and it came with all of the accessories included to get started. Tough little welder. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 11, 2013

    very disappointing

I contemplated for 6 months on buying the powerpro 256 before I pulled the trigger. Now I very much wish I would not have made the purchase. The welder did not ship on the estimated date it took a month after the payment was processed to receive the unit. I was told the Tig setup would be upgraded because of the confusion but that did not happen either. When it finally did arrive it was very cheaply made and the decals were already pealing off. It almost looked as if it had been used before. I decided I could live with the cosmetic issues as long as it worked as stated. I proceeded to hook it up using the very vague and confusing instructions. I tried it on the plasma cutting set up first disappointed, then the tig welder on ac setting disappointed, then tig on dc setting this was the only setting that I could get any use out if but it was not that great. I have a friend that owns a welding company and even he could not get a quality weld out of the unit. Big Blue does it again

After years of having to drag any of my welding needs to work, I finally plunked down and bought this unit 2 yrs ago. I'm a fan of Miller products from way back, having cut my welding teeth on a Syncrowave 250 multiprocess machine, and using all Miller products at work from light gauge galv. steel MIG welding (Shopmaster 300 from the 80's, 2 yr old ShopMate 300DX), to running straight SMAW stick welding with a couple of DialArc 250s that range to the late 60's, early 70's. And in my shop environment these things get beat to hell, and little if any repair work has been needed. Miller machines seem to last forever. That said, this little 120 volt MIG welder has some serious guts to it. It's more than light enough to travel with, and being 120V it can be used almost anywhere. I regularly run it on a 15amp circuit with no problems. The 20% duty cycle is overly cautious - this machine doesn't quit. Doesn't cut off, either, just keeps going. Welded the doors... 5/5 M. 0 5/5 Philscbx (Mpls, Minnesota) - See all my reviews I have had my Millermatic 140 unit for a little over a year now, and it gets used more than my much larger Miller 250 220 volt. I can weld as small as I want to 1/2".It's rated for 3/16's.But if you know what your doing, 1/2" is no big deal. This guy can plow along like the baddest units out there. You also need to go to welder supply to get bottled gas mix for it.Not cheap, but there's no way around it unless your going with flux core. Then you also need the electronic mask.Grinders, clamps, safety equipment, safe storage high on a solid cart.I always forget to make a video for items here.So next project with this guy gets a video of 1/2" steel for those that have no clue. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , January 6, 2009

0 4/5 Steve Foxx - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Miller Syncrowave 200 Runner Pkg AC/DC TIG Welder - 907308001 (Misc.) Purchased it and have put many hrs in on carbon, stainless, and aluminum. Handles 1/4 thick aluminum very well. The runners package is a nice edition. I do wish I had the 250dx but the runners package is worth it. The 200 syncro is a great machine but doesn't have the bells and whistles that the 250 syncro has in pulse and AC options.. I give the 200 syncro a 4 rating because it has handled everything I've thrown at it and has never let me down. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , November 28, 2014

I never found that number of response from any other company. The information I gleaned from the responses of everyday people who use this machine helped me make a decision. BUYERS BEWARE! DO NOT BUY AN EVERLAST PRODUCT!!!

The Everlast company here in the US, (San Francisco) is responsible for any customer service when you buy one of these machines. They are incredibly difficult to deal with. I was verbally threatened by the "manager" when I told him they had mis-shipped an order of consumables for the torch that our machine came with. The machine came with a completely different torch than is advertised, and of course, consumables are impossible to find. When I asked them why I didn't get a Trafimet S45 torch, they said I got a better one than that model. The strange thing is that in 25 years as a fab shop owner, I have never heard of the torch they shipped with my machine! It is so good that nobody has ever heard of it... Lol. So, now I have a weird torch that you cannot find consumables for, attached to a cheap Chinese plasma machine, with customer service that resembles getting a shake-down by the mafia. ABSOLUTELY UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WOULD I RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE DO... 1/5 onomado - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) 0 5/5 Julian DeAmicis - See all my reviews This review is from: Everlast PowerPlasma 50 IGBT Plasma Cutter 50amp Arc Cutting System (Tools & Home Improvement) I use it all the time in my fabrication business. Steel beams, cars, structural steel, whatever. I tried it on 120v, it just tripped my breaker. I was using a 10g cord on a 20a connector. Other people have had luck. Not me. Be aware that you should run it in 240v. In 240v mode all ferrous materials should be weary. This cutter also has CNC control on the back. I plan on buying a second plasma cutter and making it my dedicated cnc machine.I've cut off slivers of steel (1/16) consistently with the stock torch. It's all about the user.I've bought 2 more of their products and never been disappointed. A 160STH that has been amazing and a itig200 that I just purchased. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , January 2, 2014

The cardboard is thick and all of the cables and consumables are packaged in their own box so they don't rattle around during shipping.2. AccessoriesThe accessories include a nice quality water separator. The work clamp has copper faces and a strong spring. The torch is comfortable to use and appears to be high quality.3. Plasma Cutter power supplyThe plasma cutter has a full 60 amp power supply with 60% duty cycle. Amperage control is digital and easy to adjust. Post flow is also adjustable for torch cooling after the cut. Air pressure gauge is right on the front for easy verification.4. Case and handleThe case is top notch thick steel for durability. The handle is strong too to make this plasma cutter portable.5. Cut qualityCuts are fast! I can put down the power on aluminum and steel and it cuts good! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , August 19, 2013

0 5/5 Dan L - See all my reviews This review is from: Everlast PowerPlasma 60 IGBT Plasma Cutter 60amp Cutting System (Tools & Home Improvement) I have been using this plasma cutter for a few months. I have it plugged to a 220v circuit in my work shop and connected to the shop compressed air. Make sure you use clean dry air for the absolute best consumable life and cleanest cuts. I used to use this plasma cutter only when I had a lot of repeat cuts with material already laid out and marked but now I grab the plasma torch for just about every cut I make. I don't reach for a grinder with cutting disk or for the gas cutting torch much anymore. I haven't hit the duty cycle yet even with many repeat cuts or cutting long sections of thick steel. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , September 23, 2013
